Questions and answers

All prices are final. Four Rivers Development is not VAT registered, so there is no VAT to add. A short written summary confirms the scope before you pay anything.

How long does the Website Improvement Package take?

Up to 5 working days from the day you give access to your website (for example, a login for your website builder or hosting). The fixes are agreed with you before the clock starts.

What counts as one of the 5 fixes?

One focused improvement, such as fixing a layout that breaks on phones, speeding up a slow page, or writing proper page titles, descriptions, headings and image alt text. If something turns out to be bigger, you get a separate quote before any extra work starts.

How do payments work?

For the Website Improvement Package, 50% upfront and 50% when the work is complete. For a new website, a 50% deposit to start and the balance on completion. The care plan is paid monthly.

What does a new website from £500 include?

From £500, a typical site has up to 5 pages, a mobile-first design, a contact or booking link, basic on-page SEO, a privacy page, 2 rounds of revisions and hosting set-up. It typically takes 2 to 3 weeks once your content (text, photos and prices) is supplied. The final price depends on scope, and you get a fixed quote before we start.

Who owns the domain and the website?

You own your domain name. It stays registered to you, so you are never locked in.

What does the care plan cover, and can I cancel?

Up to 1 hour of small content updates a month, a monthly health check, uptime monitoring, security and dependency updates, and priority email support within 2 working days. Unused time does not roll over. It is monthly rolling, and you can cancel with 30 days' notice.

Do I need to change my website platform?

Usually not. The improvement package works with the site you already have wherever that is practical.

Is the free checker a full audit?

No. It is a quick automated check of one page. The paid package adds a human review and the fixes themselves.

Can you work with my booking system?

Websites can link to most booking platforms your clients already use. Tell us which one you use when you get in touch.
